Hello and Happy Holidays!

It seems crazy to be thinking about SPRING lacrosse with these chilly temps and snow on the ground but the upcoming season is right around the corner with registration opening on January 1, 2023! This is a mass email sent to our lacrosse community. Please forward this to neighbors, friends, family, etc. to get the word out! If your son is no longer in the program, we 'Thank You' and you can simply delete the message.

Grizzly Select has enjoyed a great amount of success the past few years as a feeder team for the Rocky Mountain High School Boys Lacrosse Club and we intend to continue our winning ways! There are four former Grizzly Select players who were on the high school state championship team in Spring 2021 and this season the heart of the high school program will be with those players who got their start with our middle school team. 

We will have a solid core of players coming back in 2023 and our coaching staff continues to grow with new, experienced and accomplished coaches!

Registration begins Sunday, January 1st, on the Rocky Mountain Boys Lacrosse website (click on link above--open at 6:00 am 1/1/23). Tryouts will be in mid February TBD and the season starts in mid March. Team fees will be $130 for new players and $105 for returning players who already have a jersey. The players will receive high quality coaching from the high school coaching staff as well as other college level players and coaches, three training sessions per week and games on Saturday. 

This is the ONLY opportunity to get coached by and meet the high school staff, and to learn our system before getting to Rocky Mountain High School. This is also the only feeder team for Owhyee High School which will be starting a program in Spring 2023.

What: Grizzly Select middle school lacrosse team (22 players on the roster)

Who: 7th/8th grade boys at Heritage and Sawtooth middle schools

Registration: opens January 1, 2023 at 6:00 am; closes January 31 at 11:59 pm

Fees: $130 new players (includes jersey)

           $105 returning players with a jersey

           **** paid directly to Gary Wheeler (HC RMHS) through Venmo after tryouts

Season: Tryouts mid February

               22 players on the roster (5A, 8M, 2LSM, 5D, 2G)

               Games begin mid March

               3 training sessions per week

               1 game every Saturday through April

Please note that while the Rocky Mtn. High School Boys Lacrosse Club ("Rocky Lacrosse") supports the efforts of the Idaho Middle School Lacrosse Association, (IMSLA), and the Grizzlies Select Boys Lacrosse team, we are a separate entity which has no affiliation in the operation of the IMSLA or any of it's member teams.
